Do you like The PickUp Artist Tara’s retro hairstyles?

Tara was made Mystery’s new wing to look at…

She wouldn’t change her hairstyle and outfit three times per episode if that wasn’t the case.

Since that is what they aimed for, I’m going to oblige…

I’ve been looking at her all season.

She looks great but with one exception…

I’ve never liked any of her hairstyles!

She looks like she just came off the set of an Austin Powers movie…

Or like she stole her hairstyle from a 60′s Barbie Doll.

Now I know straight bangs and 60′s updos are the trend…

And on some women I think it looks good.

I just don’t think Tara is one of those women.

What do you think?!?

Wait… Did I really just make a post about hairstyles?!?

Why is J Dog not Mystery’s wings in season 2?!?

A lot of people have been wondering why JDog was replaced by Tara as one of Mystery’s wings in this new season of the show.

I don’t know the truth but I have my own theories…

First, I think JDOG’s UK origins helped him as far as being chosen as a wing for season 1. It seems like a British judge on a US reality show is a must now-a-days. It also might have helped with airings across the pond.

On the other hand Matador is a part of Venusian Arts, the company Mystery also works for. J Dog does NOT work for Venusian Arts. For that reason it is clear that J Dog was the odd man out of the two wings.

I thought JDog did fine in the first season. I think the decision to replace him was made by VH1 and not Mystery.

All TV channels are looking to reach certain targeted audiences and demographics. VH1 must have thought bringing in Tara would improve interest from their targeted demographic and improve ratings…

More people watching from the target demographic means more advertising money.

I’m sure most women identify with her and I’m sure most guys find her hot.

So my opinion is Matador’s looks and affiliation with Venusian Arts meant he was staying…

While Tara’s looks and the fact that she is a woman trumped J Dog’s sound advice and performance from season 1 from a marketing standpoint.

I sorta miss JDog but I also think Tara has been good so far.

I think they should bring JDog back for an episode or two this season. This season was filmed in Arizona and coincidentally JDOG is the founder of the Arizona Pick Up Artist Lair…

But I have a feeling that we won’t be seeing him though…

TSB Mag interviews Pickup Tara

Michael Stoute and Bobby Rio from TSB Mag interviewed Mystery’s new wing Tara last Friday on their radio show.

You can stream or download it by clicking here.

She doesn’t come on until around the 23 minute mark.

Unfortunately they had technical difficulties so Bobby Rio was not able to be too involved in the interview but Michael Stoute did an excellent job flying solo.

In the interview Michael finally explains why he turned down VH1. Tara reveals that the contestant they ended up picking from the online competition was “Kevin”.

Tara also says that she was chosen through a casting call for the first season and had no idea what the show was about prior to filming.

This surprised me. For some reason I was under the assumption that she was affiliated with Mystery, Matador and Lovedrop’s company Venusian Arts or at the very least was friends with Mystery prior to the show.

She actually emailed me last week to clarify that she has NO affiliation with Venusian Arts outside of the context of the show.

Basically it sounds like she was an aspiring actress who landed the job without much prior knowledge of the pickup community…

And now a year later she is one of Mystery’s two wings.

Hey, a year ago I was just starting eSeduce too.

A lot can change in a year…

Tara is added to attract female viewers

As mentioned earlier, J Dog is out and Tara is in as Mystery’s new wingman.

There has been a lot of speculation that she was added to accommodate VH1′s vast female viewing audience.

I admit, I was not a huge fan of J Dog from season 1. He was a bit bland for my tastes…

But I really do not like the fact that Tara is Mystery’s new wingman. It seems like a major cop-out to me.

Why not have Lovedrop or even Kosmo, the winner from last season, as the other wingman?

If they wanted a female, why chose a woman who was basically used only for eye candy in season 1?

Tara replaces J Dog as Mystery’s new Wingman

J Dog is out and Tara is in as Mystery’s new wingman … I mean wingwoman.

If you are unfamiliar with Tara, she was the girl who was instructing the contestants on how to make out with fruit in season 1.

She also was involved in getting the contestants all hot and bothered by being one of the two girls to put on a lingerie show for them.

More on Tara and my opinion about her as Mystery’s new wingwoman in a later post…
